The Discovery Camp Program is also a very important component of Street Olympics. Founded in 1991, the summer program is designed to teach area youth about nature’s interconnected web of life.
Discovery Camp is geared to youths from ages seven to eleven. Through educational activities, games, crafts and projects, the youth can attain a greater understanding of living creatures and their roles in preserving the environment. During the school year, the Discovery Camp converts to the Traveling Naturalist Program.
